Compaan Design is the technology leader in C-to-Dataflow conversion. The Compaan HotSpot Parallelizer is able to convert C-code in a dataflow representation. This C-code can still be compiled using a standard compiler like GCC or Visual Studio^© as no special APIs or language constructs are used. To get the C-code through the Compaan HotSpot Parallelizer compiler may involve rewriting the C-code. The compiler supports features as multirate behavior, functional hierarchy and runtime decision support. The dataflow model can be expressed in a standard software thread model. Compaan Design has also developed a unique model that allows for composition of threads without the need for a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS).
