ACE invests in Multiprocessor Technology Startup

High-potential, leading edge multicore programming technology

ACE Associated Computer Experts bv, the holding companyof the ACE Group, has made a strategic investment in Compaan Design bv.

Compaan Design is a spin-off from one of ACE’s research partners in the field of compilation technology: the Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science (LIACS) of Leiden University. Compaan Design offers a high-potential, leading edge technology that will offer a solid solution to the problems that are associated with programming and development of parallel, multiprocessor, embedded systems. The Compaan technology provides the ability to quickly program complex high-performance streaming applications and map from a single specification in high-level programming languages like Matlab® or C onto today's heterogeneous multicore systems, in particular FPGA's.

Previous investments of ACE Associated Computer Experts bvhave been in ACE Associated Compiler Experts bv with its flagshipCoSy compiler development system product, and in ACE Consulting bv,having a track record in solving complex and unusual IT problems.
