Compaan Design joins European R&D projects TSAR and SoftSoc within the Medea+ framework.  Both projects are supported by PointOne in the Netherlands.

Massively Parallel Architectures and Improving SoC Productivity

TSAR is a project of critical importance for the years to come because today’s industry-standard chips are reaching their technological limits in terms of performance and energy consumption. Therefore, massively-parallel architectures are the only real way forward if we are to deliver the power needed by the latest computer simulation and HPC applications.

SoftSoC aims at solving the main SoC productivity bottleneck by providing Hardware Dependant Software (HDS) solutions to enable SoC designers to aggregate multiple HW IP with their associated HDS into efficient design.
